MEASUREMENTS + DETAILS

Please leave an asterisk where you are unsure of your measurements. The team can assist with that during our Headshot session organised by us.

HEADSHOT SUBMISSION GUIDE

Along with the form, please submit a clear, well-lit portrait of your natural face in front of a simple neutral background. A black or white t-shirt/singlet will suffice. Phone cameras preferable.

Example of Felix below, shot on an Iphone:

Guidelines:

  • Use natural light only (by a bright window or in the shade of a bright day)

  • Keep the lens just below your eye level. Keep the camera about over an arm’s length away

  • Stand about 30cm from the background

  • Relax your jaw and shoulders and provide a neutral expression on your face

  • Don’t let your eyes droop and stand with a straight posture

Tips & Tricks:

  • Get a family member or friend to take it for you. If not, improvise a tripod or use a shelf with a self timer.

  • If inconvenient, a selfie adhering as much as possible to the guidelines will suffice.

  • If your phone has a x2 or x3 lens, use that and recompose the shot to shoulders-up again. Wider lenses tend to distort the facial features and provide an inaccurate representation of your proportions.

  • Once you’ve locked eyes with the camera, tilt your head down about an inch. This provides a more natural look as a person tends to lift the chin up when in front of a camera.

This headshot aims to represent you at your everyday, relaxed, and natural state. It only serves to provide us an impression of your over all look so don’t get too stressed with facial expressions and poses – you’ll do just fine!

Your submitted headshot will be a placeholder until the team is able to reshoot them for you at our session. We will be in touch to organise this.
